The Wine Stele is a minimalistic wine rack with a capacity to hold up to 18 bottles; that’s equivalent to three wine boxes, which the slender column can pack into a tight space!

The wine bottles are stored horizontally, and all wine labels, inscriptions and stickers remain visible at all times. Once the rack is filled up, it discretely takes a back seat to the bottles—the wine is now in the forefront. The Wine Stele offers secure storage for the bottles. The solid wall connection makes this wine rack the perfect solution for all sorts of places and purposes, be it in wine cellars, vinotheques, wine speciality stops, restaurants, trade fairs or of course anywhere in the home…It is almost to pretty to be hidden away in the cellar.

The Wine Stele extends up to the ceiling. A functional, unostentatious design. Professional horizontal wine storage, all wine labels remain legible.

Dimensions

The Wine Stele’s length can be adjusted to fit your needs. Be sure to properly measure the height of the room where the Wine Stele will be mounted in order to make sure that the wine rack properly fits under the ceiling—the standard Wine Stele has a height of 2,60m. This is also the maximum length for delivery (low density freight). 3m long Wine Steles designed for rooms with high ceilings can only be delivered in Berlin or picked up directly at our store.

Please note: Because the racks cannot be filled from both side, before making your purchase decide whether the bottles should stick out to the left or to the right.

The Wine Stele is a completely safe way of storing your wine bottles.

The rack’s girth is sufficiently solid; a man cannot put his hand around it in its entirety. The first hole is 45cm from the floor, the highest hole is 2,3m high. All surfaces are sanded and the edges are smoothed out.

The colour: natural larchwood. The oiled surface highlights the warm, slightly reddish colour of the wood.

Which wine bottles fit into the wine rack?

The rack can hold almost all types of wine bottles. The holes have a diameter which make them appropriate for storing at least 90% of all wine bottles at your home or shop. This goes for both 0,7 l liter as well as 1,0 l bottles. Of course, given the wide array of comercially available bottle shapes, some bottles will not fit into the rack. Among these, for example, are bottles with a crooked bottleneck, bottles which have been dipped in sealing wax or sparkling wine or champagne bottles.

Wine trade fairs are another great place to set up Wine Steles. The rack is easy to mount and two or more can be set up next to one another to form a wine wall. Our Wine Steles were once again used by Vinergie at this year’s Prowein07 trade fair. Here the racks were mounted and stocked up into a self-stabilising block. Furthermore, we also had the opportunity to fulfill a special wish for the owners of a two-storey home: we neatly arranged a group of Wine Steles under their staircase. In other words, a place can always be found for the Wine Stele. Almost all common shapes and sizes of bottles fit in to the rack, not to mention all colours.

Mounting

Wine rack aluminium support wall mounting
Mounting the wine racks is quick and easy: The aluminium tube and wood rack are tightly fastened together via a perfectly fitting clamp connection. The supports are screwed into the wall, the tube is placed onto the support. The tube is tightly adjusted by moderatly tightening the offset headless screw. The Wine Stele has been successfully mounted, the rack can be filled and 18 bottles have now found a happy new home!
